More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider
Drumvoice delivers high-energy interactive drumming workshops to engage, inspire and unite people of all ages and walks of life.
With a wealth of experience, Drumvoice has a reputation for excellence within the worlds of business, education and the community.
Let us reveal the delights and benefits of working with rhythm!
Our African Drumming Experience is fun, practical and above all educational. Available for full or half day sessions, we provide hands-on tuition, demonstrating traditional rhythms and techniques and engaging children in creating their very own drumming pieces.
Children love playing our beautiful instruments: Djembes, Dun Dun bass drums and an array of hand-held percussion.
They enjoy the benefits of feeling successful quickly, whilst learning the fundamentals of making music together.
Our fully interactive sessions are tailored to each age group, and include:
- Playing techniques & rhythm games
- Traditional African rhythms
- Being the conductor!
- Creating a whole piece of music
- Key communication skills
- Responsibility & equal positive contribution
Single workshops and residencies available. Regular drumming sessions have been shown to give children a real educational advantage, providing fantastic stimulus for their brain development and their readiness for learning.
