About Me
I am a versatile artist from Bangalore South India who specialises in South Indian Percussion Instruments like Mridangam, Ghatam, and Khanjira. I started learning Mridangam at the age of 6 from Bangalore Vidwan K.N.Krishna Murthy.
A leading exponent of South-Indian classical music in Europe I have performed internationally with leading musicians from India. I started to perform at a very early age and arrived in England at the age of 17.
In addition to my performance career, I run drumming workshops and very much enjoy working in schools and other venues in this capacity and have had extensive experience of doing so over many years.
My Workshops
I deliver workshops for all ages and abilities in Indian Bhangra Drumming and can link the workshop to any topic or area of the curriculum including Music and RE (Hinduism and religious festivals such as Diwali).
