Ancient Egyptian Style Dance Workshop for Schools
Juliet delivers exciting and educational Ancient Egyptian style dance workshops into schools which are designed to support your children's learning on the Ancient Egyptians.
She can work with a class of up to 30 pupils at a time and, as part of her delivery, she will tell the children about the origins and cultural significance of the dance, whilst talking about .
Linking the Workshop to Your Topic
To link with KS2's History topic on the Ancient Egyptians, this cross curricular workshop engages your pupils in an exciting dance workshop which explores Ancient Egyptian style dance and how the ancient Egyptians used dance and music in their celebrations of their Pharaohs and worship of their Gods and Goddesses. The workshop looks at Hathor the Goddess of music and dance and pupils will have a role to play in the dance.

Who Are the Workshops Suitable For?
Juliet's Ancient Egyptian style Dance workshops are suitable for the following key stages:
- KS2
- SEN Schools
Session Lengths
Juliet's workshops are available for a full day and half-day.
- Sessions lengths are 1 hour or 2 hours for KS2
Session lengths are 1 hour per class or 2 hours for deeper learning. For the two hour session the children will work with the artist to create a short celebratory dance and a procession along the Nile with the Pharaoh at the heart of it.
About the Artist
Juliet is a talented and experienced workshop facilitator who has trained in contemporary dance as well as many social and cultural dance styles which can be linked to school topics and delivered on a cross curricular basis.
Trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London Juliet has enjoyed a successful performance career in dance, theatre and film, working with such companies as the Jiving Lindy Hoppers, Zoots and Spangles Authentic Jazz Dance Company, and appearing in the film The Wiz which starred Diana Ross and Michael Jackson.
