Folly Farm Centre – Day Visits and Learning Programmes

Avon Wildlife Trust’s award-winning Wild Schools programme is hosted at Folly Farm, offering a diverse range of curriculum-based activities for school field trips. Our Education Centre caters to early years pupils, higher education students and beyond. They can come and experience sensory walks, mammal trapping and wildlife film-making surrounded – all surrounded by our beautiful nature reserve.

TEAM BUILDING AND BUSH CRAFT

School children and staff alike can take part in our excellent team building exercises. Build a fire and toast marshmallows, split up into teams and navigate across the nature reserve, or try your hand at archery. Our range of activities is designed to support groups of all ages, encouraging them to work together, learn new skills and have fun! Team building activities bring people together, break down communication barriers and heighten productivity.

NATURE BY NIGHT

Discover Folly Farm nature reserve after dark with our exciting residential programmes. Participants can make a wildlife film, build shelters and prowl the nature reserve at night looking for badgers, owls and bats! Our farmhouse is great for higher education courses, professional development programmes, teacher training, or as a venue to host your own course or retreat.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Our practical programmes will help develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver inspiring outdoor learning programmes with your class or group. Courses can be tailor-made to your needs and interests, covering everything from bush craft and wild play to curriculum-linked programmes and practical conservation.
