More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider

Set in the heart of the Lake District, on the shores of Windermere, Great Tower is one of our most stunning locations. Discover, explore and be inspired by our 250 acres of woodland and rocky-crags perfect for hiking as well as being in England’s largest National Park. The Lake District is home to Scafell Pike (England's highest Mountain), Wast Water (England's deepest lake) and thriving communities like Keswick and Ambleside.

We can offer lodges, camping, or tented village accommodation.

Choose your own School adventure experience

It's your experience, so you're in charge. We believe that you should play a key role in designing your experience. To help, we have four basic products as a starting point:

Facilities and Accommodation

Camp or lodge? We've got it all.

On-site camping

With camping areas set across 250 acres, there’s plenty of space for groups large and small. There are camping areas close to the centre of the site, as well as ones in more secluded areas. Camping areas include Spruce Grove, Woodwards, Yule, Juniper, Tower, Baines and Barrow Banks, Calf Ledge or Craghill.

On-site accommodation

We have 5 lodges of various shapes and sizes all of which come complete with fully equipped kitchens
 and separate communal/dining areas.

Chadburn Tented Village

Our tented village is made up of 4m bell tents for up to five young people and 3m bell tents for two adults and comes complete with comfortable mattresses, electric lanterns and storage boxes. There’s also a group tent with tables, benches and lighting and a separate mess tent with a functional kitchen. In the centre is a private campfire circle. Overall offering space for thirty young people and four adults in 10 bell tents. Available to book from Easter to October.
