Open for visitors!
The National Memorial Arboretum is open freely to all, year-round from 10am-5pm, every day except Christmas Day.
Entry to the Arboretum is free, but for everyone's comfort we are limiting the numbers onsite. We recommend pre-booking your visit to guarantee entry. You can check our latest availability and book online using the link below.
Visitors are advised that we are currently operating with a reduced team and therefore our Coffee Shop is currently closed. A reduced hot and cold food offer will be available in our Restaurant.
The Arboretum's Learning Team offer a wide range of opportunities for your school.
Using our inspiring landscape as inspiration for a series of workshops and activities, the Arboretum’s learning team has ensured both the National Curriculum and Ofsted Common Inspection Framework are central to the content delivered.
Primary Schools
We have a range of full day and half day activities available suitable for Key Stages 1 and 2, including interactive indoor sessions and outdoor walks.
Secondary Schools
From interactive Explorer Days, to tailored grounds tours or participation in an Act of Remembrance, we have lots for Key Stages 3 and 4 to so here at the Arboretum.
Self-Led Visits
Schools are welcome to visit the site and deliver their own learning activities. Visits can include self-led tours of the Arboretum and exploration of our free exhibitions, including Landscapes of Life. We kindly request that anyone wishing to do a self-led visit still informs us of their arrival beforehand, by booking your coach in using our online portal below. Please note this is for Self-Led bookings only, to book sessions and packages please use our booking form or speak to the Learning Team.
