More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider

Did you know there are penguins living in Leeds? Our expanding animal collection at Wildlife World includes those much-loved penguins, along with flamingos, tapir, emu, a nocturnal house and much more! We offer guided tours around the zoo to allow your group to find out interesting facts about our wonderful animals. You can also book the following curriculum-linked workshops to enhance your visit even further:

  • Rainforests
  • Habitats
  • Classification
  • Living in the Dark
  • Adaptation Investigators
  • Who Eats Who?

These can be a great way to introduce a topic or to consolidate learning part-way through or at the end. We have a range of artefacts for your group to see up close, which adds to that out-of-school experience. Our workshops also cover current conservation issues and ways how your pupils can contribute towards protecting our precious planet.

If you feel like you’d prefer to remain in the classroom, then our workshops can also be delivered virtually through video conferencing platforms. With photos and videos of a selection of our zoo animals to link into your topic, you can experience our zoo without leaving your seat!
