About Us
On the day Helen and Carol first met, at a community theatre group in Hackney in 1987, Helen remembers Carol was wearing a canary yellow jumpsuit – Helen thought Carol would be an interesting person to know!
In 1996, they combined their passion and extensive experience in the arts and education to create Freshwater.
Today Freshwater works with over 150,000 children a year, enriching learning through the joy of drama.
Freshwater has become one of the most respected and established drama-in-education companies in the UK, enjoying long-lasting relationships with our schools. Last year we delivered 3000 workshops across 950 schools, museums and libraries.
We are passionate about the power of the arts to provide valuable learning opportunities for your children, allowing them to express themselves creatively whilst embedding subject knowledge.
Feedback from teachers shows that Freshwater consistently provides stimulating and memorable experiences of the highest quality, engaging and motivating children to learn.
We hope to hear from you soon.
Geography Workshops for Key Stage 2 (KS2)
Our Geography drama workshops for Key Stage Two (KS2) are a great way to cultivate your children's curiosity in our planet.
One of our specialist facilitators will lead the children on a thought-provoking adventure, using drama activities to further understanding about the world around us.
We embed locational knowledge, place knowledge, human and physical geography, and geographical skills and fieldwork across our KS2 Geography workshops to support the primary curriculum.
St Lucia: An Overseas Locality
Join our knowledgeable guide on a sightseeing tour of St Lucia, visiting the Pitons, venturing through the rainforest and even taking part in the local carnival!
In the workshop children will take an imaginary journey travelling around the island, climbing The Pitons, helping out at the banana plantation, visiting the rainforest as well as visiting a local school.
