I trained as an actress at The Academy of Live and Performing Arts (ALRA) London. I have 25 years professional experience of performing in theatre shows as well as storytelling and delivering drama workshops for children of all ages! I also have my own theatre company so can bring a lot to your school or event.

I have been telling stories to children in schools for many years and, for the past four years, to children on the cancer wards at The Great North Children’s hospital Newcastle, bringing escapism and joy.

I bring my stories to life using simple props and, being an actress, encourage children’s participation through drama, movement and song – a style which appeals to all ages from Nursery children to Secondary Students including young people with special needs.

My repertoire of stories is vast and includes both traditional tales and modern favourites, stories from different cultures and countries around the world, winter tales and Christmas stories!
I can also tailor stories to meet curriculum needs and themes such as “The Great Fire, Shakespeare, Princesses and Dragons!
I am also a great fan of Nonsense Poetry, delivering performances and bespoke workshops on favourites such as The Walrus and The Carpenter, The Table and The Chair and the hilarious poems of Roald Dahl!

Drama Workshops
As an actress I can deliver “plays in a day” for children and deliver tailored workshops for GCSE, A LEVEL and DEGREE LEVEL students studying ENGLISH, PERFORMING ARTS and DRAMA.
Voice Coaching & CPD
I can deliver VOICE COACHING for teachers as well as CPD, sharing tools enabling them to incorporate drama into their teaching enabling them to be more creative with the curriculum.
Areas I work
I am based in Consett County Durham and am happy to travel further out to neighbouring counties.
