As the UK’s number 1 walk-through wildlife adventure we offer a unique view into the world of animals. Education visits are self guided although education sessions can be booked to enhance your visit, check out our Discovery Forest Classrooms in the heart of the park. PRIMARY SCHOOL VISITS

Take a wild Educational visit to the award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park! Explore Project Polar, home to the only Polar Bears in England! Engage in national curriculum linked interactive activities and get hands-on with incredible creatures and unique artefacts.

Spot some of the worlds most endangered animals including Amur Leopards and Tigers.

School visits at YWP are self guided (under 16’s must be supervised at all times), although education sessions can be booked to enhance your visit (please see below).

SEN/SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOLS

We are able to adapt any of our education sessions to suit the needs of our visitors, please don’t hesitate to contact us further for more information.

YWP is a multi-sensory experience and everywhere is fully accessible for disabled visitors. An amazing array of sights, sounds and smells get the senses going! We offer education sessions for nursery groups upwards and welcome groups of all abilities in our classroom sessions.

The sessions we offer are listed under the relevant primary and secondary sections of our website. However if you have a different topic you would like covering, just get in touch and we will endeavor to meet all of your needs. If you are interested in taking advantage of our taught sessions, just make us aware of any special needs at the time of booking, so that we can ensure the teaching session is appropriate and adapted to your group.

Subjects have included comparing what pet animals need, with what our wild animals need and general hands on sessions with lots of things to touch.

We understand that you may need a higher adult ratio for your visit, please contact us so we can work the cheapest rate out for you.
