Set within the beautiful Whitlingham Country Park, Whitlingham Adventure offers a wide range of water and land based activities for schools. From taster sessions to skills courses, Whitlingham Adventure is the place to visit for your school trip.
For those looking to make more of a visit why not stay at the Whitlingham Broad Campsite. Here you can enjoy camping in all its forms; from simple grassy pitches to boutique shepherd’s huts and funky bell tents, or a huge Mongolian yurt, all set within 80 acres of Country Park.
School Groups
Working in partnership with schools we create bespoke educational programmes with a range of practical, adventurous activities on either water or land. We provide school groups with an introduction to outdoor pursuits showing the young people the benefits of getting active, sharing and adventure and enjoying the great outdoors.
Cross curricular activities are available that combine a variety of environments and learning activities, and enhance the curriculum in areas such as geography, science and maths. We aim to make learning more engaging and relevant to nurture creativity and imagination.
Young people are encouraged to take responsibility, develop self-awareness and help each other, while learning new skills.
Research shows that learning outside the classroom can improve attendance, reduce behaviour problems, keep healthy, improve well-being, develop interest in the environment and wider surrounding, build resilience and promote independent thinking.
