More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider

Tiggywinkles is a great place to visit for groups of all ages. Our tours are tailored to suit the group’s interests and may include educational talks, meeting a hedgehog up close and slideshows in our Red Kite Education Centre.

Tours are for a maximum of 75 people. If you have a larger group you are welcome to come along for an unguided tour of the centre, please give us a call for more information.

School Groups

Tiggywinkles are proud to have been awarded a Learning Outside of the Classroom 2019 accreditation by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.

Meet a Hedgehog

A chance to get up close and learn about these wonderful little mammals.

Skeleton Exhibition

Our Orthopaedic suite has lots of amazing wildlife skeletons on display; everything from a tiny bat to a mute swan and muntjac deer!

Gift Shop

Lots of lovely gifts are available to buy, with all profits going towards the lifesaving work of the hospital.

Red Kite Flight Aviaries & Education Centre

A great opportunity to see these majestic birds. You will learn all about our experiences and encounters with these magnificent flyers since their return from the brink of extinction in the UK in the early nineties.

Viewing Windows into the Hospital

Take a peek into our mammal and baby bird nurseries, where you will see just some of the patients in our care. The animals you can see will vary, depending on the time of year – see our ‘What’s On’ section in our website for more information.

Plus much more!

Testimonials

Amazing place! Great to show kids around and familiarise them with some wildlife. Please note kids have to be respectful in this place as it does have young, sick and injured animals in there. Please dot get bits and bobs from the gift shop to support them! They are doing great job! I couldn't recommend them high enough :)
