More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider

Powerful, entertaining, and utterly engaging history workshops for primary and secondary schools. Using our world-class collection and expert knowledge, we make history fun, fascinating, and relevant.

We specialise in history workshops for KS2 and KS3.

KS2 Stone Age

In this incredible workshop, your students will be given the opportunity to use stone and flint tools, build shelters, create natural paints and cave art, and learn how to hunt and gather. Using soft-tipped spears, pupils pair up to see who is the best pair of Neolithic hunters! Exhausted, we sit down to explore our world class collection of artefacts; teeth and bones from real Stone Age animals such as the cave bear, flint hand axes and arrowheads, antler tools, and much more (all of which your students can safely hold)! We then move on to look at both the Bronze and Iron Age, and the developments that came with them. Together, we construct an early hill fort, and explore the beginning of tribal communities. We finish by looking at some of the religious beliefs, and incredible burial methods used during the Bronze and Iron age.
