An Underwater Adventure!
Our school programme is perfect for introducing pupils to a range of scientific topics and encouraging excitement and curiosity about marine phenomena in the natural world. It has been designed to support several core elements of the National Curriculum.
Your pupils will come face-to-fin with over 2,000 creatures and get closer than ever before! Meet our friendly yet goofy Gentoo penguins in their Antarctic Ice Cave before heading to to our interactive rock pools where you can feel a real starfish!
Finish your adventure in the UK's only 360 degree Ocean Tunnel filled with tropical fish, over 14 sharks from 3 different species and Mo, our Giant Green Sea turtle!
School Tours and Packages!
Why not add a tour to your visit?
Discovery Tour - This is a 45 minute tour of the aquarium led by a marine expert. We can tailor the tour to focus on specific creatures or topics - just let us know in advance. Afterwards you are free to continue exploring at your own pace.
Behind the Scenes Tour - This is an approximately 25 minute tour with privileged access to the working areas usually closed to the public. Students will learn about our extensive breeding, research and conservation programmes, see how the fish food is prepared and discover how we care for our creatures. (Minimum 15 students per tour).
Please note the Discovery Tour and Behind the Scenes Tour are only available during term time dates, and are not compatible with a Combi Visit package with LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham
You can now add a class visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham for just £3 per pupil - it's a 2 minute walk away! Through creative play and collaboration with LEGO Education, your class will discover high quality educational experiences that prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s world.
Your pupils can also get hands-on learning from a range of interactive activities including our Build & Test zone, Earthquake Tables and Birmingham's very own Miniland!
You’ll also have the chance to beat your high score on the Kingdom Quest laser ride and experience wind, rain AND snow all under one roof in our 4D cinema!

We have super off-peak, off-peak and peak seasons for our school visits and therefore our prices vary accordingly.
Peak periods can be very busy and therefore we recommend that you consider booking a school visit outside of peak season, during our off-peak or super off-peak season, or after 2pm, to have the most enjoyable visit and to get the best prices!
