Classroom Cooking Experience
We can accommodate up to 3 classes (90 children) during the school day for a full day’s worth of highly engaging, hands on learning. We bring everything to include all utensils, aprons and ingredients, and our no-cook recipe can be prepared in the classroom:
- During this practical cooking session we’ll show the children how to prepare nutritious and delicious energy balls using no refined sugar, and they’ll develop important skills in food handling and preparation;
- Each child will receive a recipe card so they can make their recipe again and again;
- Please be advised that the price of this blended workshop does not include the cost of ingredients, packaging and recipe card which are charged extra at £2/child once numbers are confirmed.
Become a sugar sleuth with our activity booklet and discover how much of the sweet stuff is hidden in our food.
‘Lively, purposeful video that really kept their interest. They were all engaged and motivated to discover more"

My Year 4 class had a fantastic time with Kiddy Cook! The lesson was based around our topic of Europe and the children were able to make Italian pizzas to cook at home which they really enjoyed! They were also able to try different European foods and look at where foods are sourced from on a map. The session was really informative for the children as well as great fun. Nikki structures the workshops really well and are accessible for all learners. I would highly recommend!

Excellent 10 week programme! Nikki delivered a 10 week Kiddy Cook programme at our school for the fourth year running. Nikki’s workshops for my Year 3 class were always well prepared, fun and engaging; the children couldn’t wait to find out what they would be cooking each week. Through practical, hands-on experiences, the children learned about where their food comes from, healthy eating and how to prepare and cook dishes. Nikki’s sessions covered all of the cooking and nutrition aspects of the curriculum for my year group but, more importantly, taught the children an essential life skill. At the end of every session, each child got to take home their dish to share with their family, including a laminated recipe card so that they could recreate it. It was a pleasure to have Nikki come and work with us and I hope that she will be able to return to St. Wilfrid’s again in the future.
