More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider

When you book a course with DJ Workshops Ltd you get the whole package. We arrange the course, enter the students for moderation and provide all equipment and materials needed. There are no travel charges, setting up-time is free, there are no hidden costs. We also run comprehensive play scheme days. Our successful Arts Award Program is accredited by The Arts Council and the Bronze Award alone is worth 6.3 performance points per student. We have 100% pass rate and to date over 400 students have gained Bronze Arts Awards through our workshops.

The company was started with this workshop and it has continued to be a huge success. All our tutors have over 10 years experience and can mix every style of music. We have devised an easy to learn plan for DJ'ing which we have developed over the last 8 years, We know that every student is different  and we have lots of different techniques that we use so the students  are able to DJ quickly which gives them confidence and  achievement.

The students will all use the DJ equipment which is all the very latest technology with effect kits included.  As well as the main DJ set up there will be 4 workstations where the student will work on their own with head phones. The students will take turns to go one to one on the main decks with the tutor. The students will work on vinyl (records) and CD. The workshop will have over 6000 songs to choose from. We hold lots of different styles like hip hop, Drum n Bass, Techno etc.

Students will learn all the basic DJ skills, queing in, beat matching, cross fading, turntable tricks and scratching. Students that have DJed before and wish to take their skills further can work on set building, promotion and find out all about a career in the DJ Industry (this can also be accredited as a Silver Arts Award). If the students are having DJ'ing as a course they will make their own mix CDs with the music that they have chosen themselves. With all the skills that they have mastered they will make at least a 15 minute mix. They will design their own CD covers which will be put in to a Jewel case for them to take home and keep.

Workshops can accompany 5 – 10 students at one time where they will all be hands on. We can also run taster workshops with larger groups of up to 25 for taster workshops. The DJ course can be run as Bronze Award over 12 weeks. Student can progress to the Silver Award after the course.  The DJ course is also a very popular breakfast and after school club.
