Dartmoor School Residential Trips
Based in 90 acres of woodland bordering the River Dart at the River Dart Country Park, CRS Adventures is highly regarded by teachers across the country as an independent outdoor centre providing a very high standard of outdoor education and care.
Our main clients for residential courses are primary and secondary schools from local education authorities across the UK, but we also tailor shorter activities for local schools including packages for initiatives such as the gifted and talented programme. We also work closely with groups with students with special educational and behavioural needs.
A Stress Free Environment For Staff
We understand that taking young people out of the classroom to experience adventurous activities often places a tremendous amount of pressure on staff despite the recognised benefits for the participants. For this reason at CRS Adventures we work hard to make the experience as stress free for the staff as it is memorable and positively life changing for the young people.
We have many schools that have been visiting us for years and we believe strongly in developing strong and positive relations with the visiting staff. This includes a senior member of our management team visiting every school to make a presentation to answer questions from the young people and their parents prior to a visit. School Day Visits
Our aim is to ensure that every school that visits us wants to come back again. We strive to provide unique learning experiences by delivering high quality outdoor activities designed to inspire, challenge and bring out the best in young people.
We know that whilst your students are focusing on the excitement of adventure, you will be looking at what they will learn and take away from their visit. The activities we provide develop self-esteem, peer support, confidence and positive attitudes that students will take back to the classroom and their everyday lives.
We devise a unique activity programme for each group, and will consult closely with the group leader on what they want to achieve from their visit.
CRS Adventures hold the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. This indicates we have passed a robust assessment designed to ensure that we are meeting schools’ learning and risk management needs, no matter what activities are provided.
We operate all year round and offer a wide range of packages to suit the requirements of individual groups.
