More about this Workshop/Service and the Provider

I'm an artist and active member of Knighton Lane Artists Group and the Batik Guild.
I offer workshops and short courses from my studio space and I have many years of experience of delivering creative workshops in schools.
Most of my workshops in primary schools are mosaic making, sometimes as individual works, but mostly larger collaborative and commemorative pieces.
I also offer workshops such as silk painting. My background is in textiles and I specialize in batik.
I offer a range of workshops that are accessible, safe and fun, which can be tailored to most themes and with a specific historical and cultural context of their own.

I have experience of working with a diverse range of ages and abilities and workshops can be designed and delivered to suit your needs.

  • In most cases the price includes materials and equipment

  • All electrical equipment is pat tested

  • I carry 5m in public liability insurance and an enhanced DBS disclosure

One day mosaic at Stony Dean School, Amersham
'I can’t thank you enough for the support you gave our students to produce such a work of art.
Your encouragement and passion shined through while teaching our students.
You created a sense of calm and relaxation that the students could express themselves to produce such amazing pieces of art.
Providing a successful inclusive art experience is about assessing, simplifying and adapting to each child's abilities. Andrew was able to do just that to produce the amazing art work, which we cannot wait to hang in our sensory garden.
The projected outcome allowed the students to actively participate in the creation and design, experimenting and thinking outside the box.' - Suzy King, Teacher

Two day mosaic workshop at SS Osmund and Andrew's RC Primary School, Bolton
'Our children of all abilities were able to engage with the production of our school mosaic. In particular, children with SEN thoroughly enjoyed this experience; commenting it was relaxing and made them feel happy. The children were involved in every step of process from design to the final grouting. They worked in groups and with Andrew’s expertise, created something that was truly wonderful.. This activity will have a lasting memory for the children and staff at our school.' - Sharon Doyle, Deputy Head.
